Europa RE as Implementation Agency in response to climate change projects

Europa Re was created in 2009 to address the low levels of catastrophe and weather risk insurance penetration in South-eastern Europe, with the financial and technical support from the World Bank under the SEEC CRIF (Southeast Europe and Caucasus Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility) project, the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR ). Since then the company has successfully managed and implemented 4 major insurance pilot programs in such countries as Albania, North Macedonia, Serbia and Kazakhstan. The company is currently implementing another important disaster insurance market development project financed by the Insuresilience Initiative. Over 11 years of project implementation history, Europa Re had developed in-depth expertise and impeccable track record in project management for international development financial organizations and donor organizations. We employ a team of highly experienced financial, project management, procurement and regulatory compliance professionals which ensures the highest quality of project implementation standards.
