Marijana Lemić Saramandić has been Chief Underwriting Officer and Member of the Executive Board of Europa Re AG since July 2017, responsible for underwriting strategy, portfolio management, risk governance, and reinsurance and retrocession operations across international markets. She has more than 30 years of international experience in insurance, reinsurance, enterprise risk management, and alternative risk transfer solutions. Prior to her current role, Ms. Lemić Saramandić served as Country Manager for Serbia and North Macedonia at Europa Re AG. Earlier in her career, she held senior management positions at DDOR Novi Sad, including President of the Management Board of DDOR Re. She has also acted as insurance and reinsurance expert on numerous World Bank and EBRD projects across Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Ms. Lemić Saramandić holds degrees from the Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad and is fluent in English and Italian.

Laura Konda Gjinali has been Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Executive Management of Europa Re AG since June 2013, leading financial strategy and reporting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, risk management, and financial management of international development projects across multiple regions. She has more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance, insurance, audit, accounting, and enterprise risk management. Prior to joining Europa Re, Ms. Gjinali worked as consultant for the World Bank and served as Country Manager of Grant Thornton Albania. Earlier in her career, she was CFO of Atlantik Albania and lectured in accounting, insurance, and risk management at the European University of Tirana. She holds advanced degrees in finance and accounting and is a Certified General Accountant (CGA) and Certified Auditor (CA). Ms. Gjinali is fluent in English, French, and Italian.

Dr. Nadica Jovanovska-Boshkovska has been Chief Project Officer at Europa Re AG since January 2023, leading the development and implementation of public sector risk financing and insurance solutions globally. Prior to this role, she served as ESG Coordinator, Project Director for Europa Re’s regional projects in the Balkan countries, and Head of Europa Re’s Representative Office in North Macedonia. She has more than 18 years of experience in the insurance industry, working with governments, international organizations, and private sector stakeholders globally. Dr. Jovanovska-Boshkovska has also served as consultant to UNDP, FAO, and the World Bank. She holds degrees from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje and University of Rome Tor Vergata, and completed professional certification at Cornell University, USA. Besides English, Dr. Jovanovska-Boshkovska has knowledge of Italian, German, and Serbian.

Iulia Ariana Durbacel has been Senior Compliance Officer at Europa Re AG since 2022 and serves as Secretary to the Board of Directors, advising the Board and management on compliance, governance, and regulatory matters, and contributing to the development of the company’s governance, risk, and control framework. Prior to her current role, she served as Compliance Officer of the company while continuously acting as Secretary to the Board of Directors. She has more than 20 years of experience in the (re)insurance sector, combining supervisory, regulatory, and market expertise. Prior to joining Europa Re, Ms. Durbacel worked for the Romanian insurance supervisory authority, where she held supervisory, advisory, and corporate secretarial roles and represented the institution within CEIOPS/EIOPA committees and supervisory coordination activities. She holds degrees in Law, Finance and Insurance, and International and European Law. Ms. Durbacel is fluent in English and has professional command of French.

Vlatko Mrkev has been HR & Contract Management Officer at Europa Re since June 2020. Prior to that he spent 7 years at Europa Re as Procurement Consultant. Prior to joining Europa Re in February 2013, Mr. Mrkev worked for more than 10 years as Procurement Specialist on several projects financed by the World Bank. Mr. Mrkev holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Economy, Major in Marketing, from the State University Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Skopje, Republic of N. Macedonia. He is a certified trainer in public procurement.

Dr. Branko Pavlović has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Europa Re AG since 2026. Prior to this role, he served as a member of the Executive Board of Globos Insurance from 2020. Earlier in his career, he held senior management positions for more than 17 years at Delta Insurance, Delta Generali Insurance, and Generali Insurance Serbia. Dr. Pavlović graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Belgrade. He is also licensed by the National Bank of Serbia as a qualified actuary. He is President of the Association of Actuaries of Serbia, a member of the Council of the International Association of Actuaries, and a court expert in actuarial science. Married, father of four children.
